Clueprint is a murder mystery puzzle game for iPhone and iPad. This page explains what data the game uses and why. In short: your progress stays on your device, ads are provided by Google AdMob, and purchases go through Apple.
Your solved cases, daily streaks, settings, the case you're in the middle of, and how many extra cases you have left are saved only on your device. There are no accounts and nothing is sent to us. Deleting the app deletes your progress; your remaining cases are kept in your device's keychain so a reinstall doesn't reset them.
Every case is made on your device, so you can play offline. When you're online, the app shows a banner at the bottom of the home screen and offers optional videos that unlock an extra case. These ads are provided by Google AdMob. Clueprint Unlimited removes them.
To show and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, device type and how you interact with ads.
How Google uses this data is described in Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Case packs and Clueprint Unlimited are bought through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see your payment details. The app only learns which item was bought, so it can give it to you. Restore purchases on the home screen brings back Unlimited on a new device.
This website is served by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, sees the requests your browser makes.
The home page at clueprint.silentj.co.uk (not the app) may show an ad from Google AdSense. To show and measure ads, Google and its partners may use cookies and collect information such as your IP address, browser and device, and how you interact with the ad.
In the UK, EEA and Switzerland you're asked first, with Google's consent form, whether you agree to personalised ads; if you don't, you only see non-personalised ads. You can turn off personalised ads at any time in Google's Ad Settings. How Google uses this data is described in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
The game isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. Ads are limited to family-suitable content.
